Why we left paradise and moved backed to Columbus, Georgia

Hi, we're Megan and Todd Kennedy and this is our story about why we left the Cayman Islands and moved back home to Columbus, Georgia!

Living in Paradise: Cayman Islands

First, let's start with how we ended up in the Cayman Islands in the first place. We moved to Cayman in 2016 right after we had JUST purchased our first home in Midland, Georgia. Then 3 months later, we packed our bags and brought our 2 German Shepards, Freya and Navi, down to the Cayman Islands as a part of The Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa's opening team.

We lived on the island for 3 years. It was an amazing experience. I was a personal concierge for the resort where I helped plan guest stays before they arrived, greeted them with champagne on arrival, surprised them with welcoming amenities, answered any questions they had, made sure they got from point A to point B for activities and excursions, basically - I was their person for their entire stay at the resort.

It was also so much more than just the logistical things, what I really fell in love with was helping create the magic. Those extra special details that helped create, not just an amazing vacation, but one that they would always remember. An experience!

So, why did we leave?

Well, we had just gotten married (in Stingray City) and decided it was the perfect time to start planning the next chapter. We moved back to Georgia and jumped into Real Estate. (like, really JUMPED!)

We flew home and within two days we were on the courthouse steps buying our first property to flip. Todd was getting his Real Estate sales license and I was studying for my Brokers license (I was a Real Estate Agent before we moved to Cayman).

Recap from then to NOW- we bought our first house, moved to Cayman 3 months later. Worked in paradise for 3 years, got married, swam with stingrays, moved back to GA, flipped 12 homes, added 7 rental doors all while building a high concierge level service real estate team.

I've realized I have unnoticeably incorporated all of my concierge magic into creating an experience for our clients that are buying or selling. To start, we have "Coffee + Conversations" with our clients, where we take them out for coffee and chat about goals and help them create a game plan. We celebrate constantly. Our clients have come to expect nothing less than Champagne showers on closing days!

We are creating an experience- so we decided it was only fitting to be "Your Realtor Concierge".

We love, absolutely love service. "People taking care of people" is our motto. That's what makes our hearts happy!

We recently had two out of town clients that were moving to Columbus, GA. We found ourselves right back in our happy place showing them all of the amazing things we love about our home town. When we would show them a house, we would also drive them by local parks, bike trails and our favorite restaurants located near that home AND they loved it!

We loved it and we thought you would love it.
